Testimonials:
I thank my lucky stars that I discovered Michelle.  Having studied t’ai chi with her for over ten years, my balance, strength, grace, and stamina have all improved, as has my general health.  She is knowledgeable, compassionate, and joyful. I really look forward to my classes with her.
––Madelyn McCaul, Santa Cruz

Michelle’s classes are a treasure in my life. My sense of well-being has increased during nine years of participating in her classes. I have incorporated her teachings into my massage practice, which has greatly benefited my clients. These clients singing my praises have increased my business success.

"This is my own combination of two ancient forms of movement for physical fitness, health and well-being: Qi Gong and Tibetan Tai Chi."
Michelle's Instruction balances the energies of Yin and Yang by combining the medicinal moves of  Qi Gong and  Martial Arts of Tibetan Tai Chi.

"Tai chi is often described as "meditation in motion, but it might as well be called "medication in motion."  "There is growing evidence that this mind-body practice ... has value in treating or preventing many health problems."
-- Harvard Medical Health Publication, 05/09

"For thousands of years people around the world have developed alternative therapies to treat the body, mind, and the soul ... this is the area of energy medicine."
-- Dr. Oz (the Dr. Oz Show)

Medical Researchers have proven results:
Harvard: “Should be called moving medicine.” “Lowers blood pressure.”

Mayo Clinic: “Boosts the immune system and is shown to have a positive effect on muscle strength, flexibility,  and balance.”

New England Journal of Medicine: "Oncologists recommended for patients of mastectomy, for reducing Lymph edema, or preventing it before it starts."

Tufts Medical Center: “Reduced pain and fatigue, improving patients ability to function and sleep. Especially helpful through life transitions.”

Balances physical, mental and emotional bodies.

Example Forms and their benefits taught by Michelle:
  • Rock to Eagle-stimulates lymphatic drainage, balances thyroid gland, and increases flow of oxygenated blood to brain, improving patient’s ability to function and sleep.
  • Phoenix Rising-  detoxifies liver, increases balance, mobility, boosts the immune system through spleen and thymus gland activity, strengthens every muscle in the body.
  • Fog on the Mountain- decreases lymph edema, strengthens balance and bone density, increases back muscle flexibility.
  • Tiger Series- strengthens back, neck and arm muscles, stimulates lymphatic drainage, boosts the immune system. Movement across thyroid and parathyroid glands, increasing balance.
Acupressure is an ancient Chinese practice that resembles acupuncture in that they both share the same basic concept of chi: the energy that flows through the body following lines called meridians.

These meridians can be accessed at specific points that allow one to manipulate the flow of energy. The belief that illness and pain is due to the interruption or blockage of this flow is the basis for both acupressure and acupuncture.

The chart to the left represents the sinus points, but learning the actual techniques of applying pressure/massage, length of time, and family of related areas involved requires research to find accurate and reliable instructions.
